Music is a precious gift from God. At Abiding Savior, music enriches worship, unites our voices, and deepens our faith throughout the church year.
Abiding Savior’s music ministry includes traditional choral music, contemporary sacred music, chimes, brass, winds, strings, organ, and guest musicians.
Ensembles serve at regular worship, special services, seasonal celebrations, and events throughout the church year.
High school students and adults are invited to participate in the primary vocal ensembles.
Open to high school and adult singers, the Chancel Choir leads worship during the 8:30 AM service.
High school and adult singers and instrumentalists help lead worship at the 11:00 AM service.
These ensembles and musicians serve during special services, seasonal events, and other occasions.
Chime music adds a distinctive sound to worship and seasonal services.
Brass and wind musicians support festival services and special events throughout the church year.
String players and guest musicians enrich worship on special occasions.
The Scholz Memorial Organ was built in 1996 by Hagerstown Pipe Organ Company and has been enhanced through later additions.
It includes wood, zinc, and tin-lead pipes, Möller direct electric action, Peterson solid-state combination action, and expression chests for both the Swell and Great divisions.
